Our debt recovery procedures are customised to meet your needs. The action we take depends on the value and age of the debt, the kind of recovery action previously taken and the individual status of the debt. Regardless of this, our debt collection procedures are always carried out in strict accord with standard industry practices and the Code of Ethics from the Institute of Mercantile Agents.

The Debt Collection Procedure

Generally, our collection activities are tailored to your needs and include:

1. An initial search to find out if the debtor is still at the advised address. We also make telephone contact and send a letter out to advise that the account has been handed to us for collection.
2. If no further contact is made by the debtor, we will general approach them by telephone after an additional 5 days.
3. The debtor will often seek to make a payment arrangement with us, if they cannot repay the debt in full straight away. If they wish to pay it off in instalments, we come to a suitable payment arrangement based off a financial questionnaire completed by the debtor.
4. An arrangement letter or direct debit application form is sent to the debtor confirming the repayment details.

We can also carry out field calls if they are felt necessary, based on the situation.

Legal Action – Assistance when you need it most.

In the case of legal action against the debtor, we will assist you every step of the way. We have staff experienced in working closely with solicitors, attending court pre-trial conferences and assisting with negotiations during litigation and maintaining good communications with clients throughout these processes.
